SoundQuest
Game-based speech sound practice for children, used with a speech-language pathologist. Scoring runs on the device, and recordings never leave it.
- iPhone and iPad In development
- Android Planned
SoundQuest is a working name and the app is in development. These pages describe the app as it will ship and will be updated before release.
What it does
- Short practice games of 3 to 7 minutes, built around targets the SLP chooses
- Feedback on each try, worked out on the device: no internet connection needed
- Mistakes never show as failure; the game adjusts cues and difficulty instead
- Clinician mode, behind a passcode or Face ID, for caseloads, practice plans and progress reports
- Each student's data is encrypted with its own key and can be exported or deleted on its own
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics and no cloud in version 1
Who it's for
Speech-language pathologists in schools and clinics, and the children on their caseload. Children use it under the supervision of an SLP, teacher or parent. SoundQuest is a practice and progress-monitoring tool. It does not diagnose or treat any condition.
